Our
Fun Facility:
Balls
of Fun Inc. is an unsupervised play/recreation facility. Parents
and guardians must watch their children at all times.
Balls
of Fun Inc. is over 7000 sq feet of pure ball entertainment, with
two play sections:
The
Baby & Toddler Section:
This
section is geared to children developing and mastering their crawling,
cruising and walking skills. The monthly
ball themes, equipment and activities expose babies and toddlers
to basic ball skills and ball play. This section also has a custom-made,
soft-play structure and many, many balls.
The
Big Kid Section:
This
section gives children the chance to experience, practice and sharpen
their ball skills through active play. The monthly
ball themes empower children, through practice, to gain confidence
in many ball activities. As well, the custom-made, soft-play, structure
was designed for play by both children and adults. Yes, adults,
at Balls of Fun you can become a big kid too! The ball pit and the
many, many balls provide endless opportunities to learn ball skills.
Other
Facility Aspects:
There
is an area to keep shoes and coats and a separate place to enjoy
a drink and a peanut-free snack (drinks and peanut-free
snacks are also available at Balls of Fun). There are three
family-friendly washrooms, a hand-washing station, and a party room
to celebrate any group occasion. The equipment is disinfected daily.

2010 @ Balls of Fun Inc.
Ball-skill
development happens with practice; give your child many opportunities
to practice ball skills so that your child may become more confident
and self-aware.
From
July 27th – August 29t the
facility gym sections will be experiencing the following ball-skill
development themes:
Big
Kid Ball-Skill Theme: Balls & Ball Games
- The
floor space is filled with ball games for children to learn
and practice. Empower your child to have the knowledge and confidence
to participate in physical activities during recess and gym.
Some of our largest balls join the fun this month.
Baby
& Toddler Ball-Skill Theme: Balls & Ball Skills
- Gross-motor
and ball–skill focused rubrics are posted on the facility walls,
and a ball focused obstacle course fills the floor space to
encourage ball-skill practice. This is a great opportunity to
develop your child’s coordination ability.
The
Facility: If you notice any unsafe behaviour or rules not
being respected, please tell a staff member so that the situation
can be addressed, and then the environment can remain safe and
clean for our children.
Card
Holders: We have two separate sign-in forms. One form is for
card holders who have a Gift Certificate Card, a Multiple Visits
Card or an Annual Membership Card.
The other sign-in form is for customers who do not have one of
the three Balls of Fun cards.
Balls
of Fun Annual Gym Memberships: Give your child the physical
development, self-awareness and self-esteem needed to excel in
play and sport
in gym class, at recess time, or on an organized team. This is
the place to gain the development and confidence to succeed. The
Balls of Fun Annual Gym Membership
works in conjunction with the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit. Each
child member receives a photo gym pass and a Balls of Fun T-Shirt.
Group
Visits: The facility is always open to the public during group
visits and Balls of Fun Camp. Note: More groups will book
visits after this calendar is published. Please call the facility
if you would like further information.
Summer
Gym Camp: Get your child moving while learning different sports
and games in our afternoon gym camp. The Balls of Fun Gym Curriculum
is designed to get kids enthusiastic about being active and working
as a team. The facility is air conditioned, safe, and clean.
No sun screen or rain gear needed to have fun at our camp. Maximum
20 children per week; so book early to secure your child an active
and fun time!
Coming
September 2010:
The
Balls of Fun After-School Program for children 4 – 8 years: This
program runs after school, from Monday-Friday. Parents may
use the program to create a great after-school routine (daily
homework help + directed physical activity), or parents may use
the program when needed for their schedule.
Toddler
Time Program: Be active with your toddler. Meet other moms,
dads and toddlers during our directed, interactive, and fun Toddler
Time. This program is a very flexible program; encouraging you
to join the fun often for continued growth and development, but
also when it fits your schedule. Check out program
details and registration.
- Please
call us to sign up for either of the programs a.s.a.p., as we
have started to take names and numbers of interested parents.
Parents:
Remember to keep your children out of the sun during peek hours
(11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.). In the summer join us to be active in
a clean, stimulating and air conditioned facility. At Balls of
Fun you do not need sun screen, and you do not need to worry about
the rain or humidity. Plus, many of our parks have glass in the
sand and graffiti on the structures. So bring the kids here for
a safe game of tag or hide and seek, and teach your children some
valuable ball skills to prepare them for gym class and other ball
sports. Being active at Balls of Fun is also an economic choice
for summer fun!
Notes:
We are a nut and peanut free facility
- No
slippers (including Robeez), or nylons, are to be worn in the
facility. This is a socks only facility, and socks are
mandatory for everyone.
- Please
carry your shoes to the entrance when leaving the facility.
Thank you for helping to keep the facility clean for our children.
-
The equipment is switched the first Monday of the month.
Balls
of Fun’s Mission Statement
Our
goal is to provide children with an environment that fosters
essential physical and social development skills. When these
skills are nurtured and practiced, children gain self-awareness
and confidence to succeed during play and sport. Moreover,
an enthusiasm for physical activity, created by learning
necessary ball skills, encourages a healthy lifestyle.
